Chargalytics context
Hydrogen is a direct competitor and complement to battery-electric charging infrastructure, especially for heavy-duty and long-haul fleets where charging economics are weakest — a government-industry roadmap here signals where public money and infrastructure priority will actually go. Charging network planners need to know if hydrogen corridors will overlap or compete with planned EV charging corridors for the same freight routes. Key question: what's the realistic timeline and volume for hydrogen infrastructure versus fast-charging buildout for commercial vehicles?
